The Vileda Online Shop is fulfilled by Laundry Company and your contract is with D F Sales Limited t/a Laundry Company, registered in England and Wales with Company Registration No. 05700537 and VAT Reg. 877305890, whose registered office is at 5a Babdown Airfield, Babdown, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, GL8 8YL (“Laundry Company”).

Freudenberg Household Products and Laundry Company (“We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data (as defined below) we collect from you, or that you provide to us will be processed by us and why we require it. Please read this Policy carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. We are joint data controllers for the purposes of the relevant data protection legislation.

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?

“Personal data” means any information which identifies (or from which we can identify) a natural person. We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you, which we have grouped together as follows.

Information you give us

You may give us information about you by registering to use our website, filling in forms on our website, corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise, subscribing to our newsletter, subscribing to any of our services, searching for a product, placing an order on our website, if you choose to leave a comment on our blog, or when you report a problem or otherwise interact with our website.

Information we collect about you

We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, other members of the Freudenberg group of companies, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies) and may receive information about you from them.

We take steps to ensure that any such third parties are legally permitted or required to disclose such information to us. Examples of information we may receive from other sources include: demographic information, device information (such as IP addresses), location, and online behavioural data (such as information about your use of social media websites, page view information and search results and links) from analytics providers and search engine providers (for example, Google).

Aggregated Data

We also collect, use and share “Aggregated Data” such as statistical or demographic data. Aggregated Data may be derived from your information but does not constitute “personal data” in law as it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate (i.e. combine with information relating to others) your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific feature of our website. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your information so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be handled in accordance with this Policy.

Special Categories of Personal Data

We do not collect any “Special Categories” of personal data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). We also do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences. We do not knowingly collect and personal data about children.

MINIMUM REQUIRED INFORMATION

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide the minimum required data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you or provide you with the information you have requested (for example, to provide you with your order). If this is the case, we may have to cancel our agreement with you to provide the goods which you have requested, and will notify you accordingly.

WHAT INFORMATION IS SHARED?

We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006. This includes our parent company, Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions GmbH, who is responsible for hosting this website and storing personal data securely on our behalf. Personal information we share may include Contact Data, Profile Data and Transaction Data if you have placed an order with us. Under no circumstances are any credit or debit card details shared.

We may share your information with selected third parties including business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors if it is necessary for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you in order to provide you with our products. This includes:

  • Mosquito Digital Limited, who manage and create our newsletter and distribute it on our behalf, (if you have expressly opted-in to receive the newsletter) and host the blog section of our website; • Instiller, who provide the software used to distribute the newsletter;
  • Our software or other IT support providers, including SAP Hybris, for the purpose of system administration, data security, data storage, hosting, back up, disaster recovery and IT support;
  • Payment service providers, including Adyen BV, Braintree and PayPal, who process payments for orders submitted through this website as a necessary condition of the contract entered into between you and the Laundry Company, and we recommend that you visit the privacy policies available on the website of each of those providers for further information regarding their privacy practices and how they protect your personal data;
  • Advertisers and advertising networks that require the personal data to select and display relevant adverts to you on our website. We and our third party advertisers may use cookies and other tracking technologies such as pixels and web beacons, to gather information about your activities on our website and other sites in order to provide you with targeted advertising based on your browsing activities and interests.   • Analytics and search engine providers such as Google Analytics that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our website; and
  • Reviews.co.uk, who collect and publish customer reviews for products purchased through our website.
  • Ceva Logistics, the warehouse which stores all of the Vileda product range, they will be distributing product prizes directly to winners from any promotions we are running on the Vileda websites during the Corona Lockdown.

We may also disclose your personal information to third parties in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets. Alternatively, if our assets are acquired by a third party, any personal data held by it about our customers will be one of the transferred assets. If a change happens to our business, the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this Policy.

We may also be under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions of supply and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or ourselves, our customers, or others.

FREE TREATS AT HOME

TLC UK Marketing provides promotional and prize fulfilment services. We collect personal details in order for us to fulfil campaign registrations and fulfilment including name, email address, country of residence (UK or ROI) and storage of purchase receipt as an image.
Data is stored in a UK data centre (Memset) and is deleted 3 months after the campaign’s redemption period has ended. There’s no direct sharing of information between Vileda and TLC, only what the customer/claimant inputs in order to claim their rewards.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may provide links to third party websites (such as social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest), plugins and applications. Our website may also, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. If you follow a link to any of these websites, these websites will have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Google Analytics


This website uses web analysis services from Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").
The information is transmitted to Google servers in Europe and processed there. Transmissions to Google LLC based in the USA cannot be ruled out. For data transfers to the USA, Google has joined the EU-US data protection framework (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), which ensures compliance with the European data protection level on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission in 2023. We have concluded an order processing contract with Google, which contractually ensures the protection of the data of our site visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
Google processes the information collected for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website, compiling reports on web activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address is shortened by the last digits so that no personal reference can be established. Google stores the data for a period of 14 months.
As an extension of Google Analytics 4, the Google Signals service is also used. With Google Signals, we can receive cross-device reports from Google. If you have activated the "personalized ads" in your settings in your Google account and linked your Internet-enabled devices to your Google account, Google can analyze the usage behavior across devices and derive information based on this when you give your consent to the use of Google Analytics 4. If we have asked for your consent and you have given it, we will process your e-mail address in order to conduct e-mail marketing and, if necessary, other personal data in order to address you personally in the process. The automatic information processing is notified to the French Data Protection Authority CNIL (under the numbers 1527459 and 1527474) and will be updated if necessary.

With the help of Mailjet we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. We also use remarketing measures to show you’re the relevant online advertising. When you open an e-mail sent with Mailjet, a file contained in the e-mail (so-called web beacon) connects to Mailjet's servers exclusively in Europe with Google Cloud Platform in Frankfurt (Germany) and St. Ghislain (Belgium) and also with OVH in Roubaix (France). In this way, it can be determined whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked, if any. In addition, technical information is collected (for example time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). Clarity enables us in making data-driven decisions on what works and what doesn’t. Clarity captures the interactions on our website such as how the page has rendered and what interactions users undertake such as mouse movements, clicks, scrolls. All information you provide to us is stored on the secure servers of our parent company, Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions GmbH on our behalf. We use our best endeavours to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy and that we will comply with the relevant data protection legislation within the United Kingdom.

You will not usually have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). However, please note that where we receive requests under this section which are manifestly unfounded or excessive, for example because they are repetitive in nature, we may:

RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN
